Centre for Addiction Disorders (ZAE)


The Centre for Addiction Disorders (ZAE) specialises in the assessment, treatment and support of people affected by addiction. This may involve the misuse of substances such as alcohol or cocaine, or behavioural addictions such as gambling or problematic internet and media use.

Our experienced multidisciplinary team provides support to help people regain control of their lives and work towards lasting recovery.

The ZAE consists of the following departments:

Alcohol and Medication Withdrawal (U3 – Inpatient)Acute Treatment for all Substances (U2 – Inpatient)Post-Acute Treatment - Weaning (U1 – Inpatient and Day Clinic)Outpatient Behavioural Addictions (VSA)Inpatient Behavioural Addictions (VSS)Outpatient Addiction Clinic (SAM)
 

In collaboration with the Swiss cantons, addiction services and other partner organisations, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health has developed SafeZone.ch, an online counselling service providing confidential support on addiction-related issues for people affected, family members and professionals (in German).

Across all departments, the ZAE offers a range of treatment approaches tailored to each person's individual needs.
