General Consultation

The General Consultation service is provided by the Polyclinic and is available to children, adolescents and their families.

We offer a range of specialist services, including:

  • Psychiatric and psychological assessments for children and adolescents
  • Assessment and support in urgent situations
  • Crisis intervention
  • Individual therapy and family counselling
  • Group therapy
  • Medication assessment and management

The clinic supports children, adolescents and their parents or carers throughout the assessment and treatment process. This includes providing information about mental health conditions and available treatment options, arranging or referring patients for appropriate treatment, and coordinating any additional support that may be required.

Where appropriate, we work closely with other professionals and services involved in the child's care, including paediatricians, school psychological services and other healthcare providers.

Treatment Team

Our multidisciplinary team includes specialists in child and adolescent psychiatry, clinical psychology, social work, psychomotor therapy and administration.

Costs

The costs of assessments and treatment are usually covered by your health insurance provider or, where applicable, by disability insurance.
