UPK Forensic
The Department of Forensic Psychiatry at the University of Basel conducts research on a wide range of topics relevant to both science and clinical practice. Our work combines basic research with applied and clinical research. Key areas of research include the diagnosis, treatment and forensic assessment of offenders, as well as risk assessment and child and adolescent forensic psychiatry. Our work is guided by three core principles: interdisciplinary collaboration, a strong connection to clinical practice and high scientific standards. The members of the department bring together expertise from psychiatry, psychology, law and criminology.
