Depression, Burnout and Bipolar Disorder

Do you feel persistently low, exhausted or lacking motivation? Have you lost interest in things you once enjoyed or find it difficult to concentrate? Sleep problems, fatigue and loss of appetite are also common signs of depression.

Depression and burnout are more than temporary sadness or short-term stress. They are conditions that can last over time. Depression may occur as a single episode or return repeatedly, and in some cases become chronic. Bipolar disorder involves alternating phases of depression and mania.

Burnout is characterised by physical, emotional and mental exhaustion, often linked to prolonged stress at work. It can increase the risk of developing depression.
