Substance use like alcohol, cannabis, heroin, cocaine and medications can impact your mental well-being and lead to addiction. This is known as substance use disorder.

Our Support

UPK Basel specialises in diagnosing and treating substance use disorders. We also address any psychological, physical and social issues that often accompany them. Our acute treatment includes withdrawal treatment and support for related problems, with medication when necessary.

Following withdrawal treatment, we offer intensive addiction support in our Reorientation and Training Department, with additional options in our day clinic. Our multidisciplinary teams of medical, psychological, nursing, social, and therapeutic experts tailor each treatment to your needs. Psychotherapy is accompanied by additional treatment options, which can be found on our German page here.

• Walk-In Clinic (Kornhausgasse): The open consultation hour serves as the first point of contact
• Patient Admissions & Psychiatric Emergency: 24 hours
• Private Clinic: For semi-private or private insurance patients
