Consultation Service

The Consultation Service (KD) is a department of the University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel at the University Hospital Basel. The KD is responsible for the assessment and treatment of acute mental health conditions in all hospitalised patients.

The service provides psychiatric assessments for diagnostic evaluation and offers recommendations to the primary treating physicians regarding further diagnostic evaluations as well as appropriate therapeutic interventions.
