Consultation Service
The Consultation Service is a specialized department of the University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel, which operates as part of the University Hospital Basel. The department is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of acute mental illnesses of all hospitalized patients.
The services offered by the Consultation Service include on the one hand, the psychiatric exploration for diagnostic assessment and on the other hand, recommendations to attending physicians regarding further diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic measures.
