The Department of Psychodiagnostics plays a central role in the Centre for Psychiatric Health at Kornhausgasse 7. Its mission is to establish an initial diagnosis in cases of mental health conditions. In accordance with clinical guidelines and standards, the department provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments for a range of concerns, both across different disorders and for specific conditions.

Assessments are generally concluded with a detailed written report or an expert opinion addressing the specific questions raised.

If ADHD or an autism spectrum disorder is suspected, those affected can attend the ADHD/Autism consultation hours at UPK Basel.
