Located in the beautiful parkland of UPK Basel, Café Kranich offers a bright and welcoming atmosphere. The large windows allow natural light to flood into the café throughout the day.
Alongside great coffee and a wide selection of other drinks, we serve a freshly prepared vegetarian dish of the day every day, with a vegan option at least four days a week. We also offer a soup of the day, hot panini, salads, sandwiches, croissants and a variety of snacks. The bread used for our sandwiches and served with our soups and salads comes from the local organic wood-fired bakery Schmätzgi. On Thursdays, you can also buy whole loaves to take home. Our culinary offering is rounded off with homemade cakes, Swiss fruit tarts and muffins – many of which are also vegan – all at fair prices.

When preparing our dishes, we place great importance on freshness and the high quality of our ingredients. In summer, our cosy garden provides the perfect setting for a relaxing lunch break in the fresh air.
